3 Classmate Blog Responses
I enjoyed the 2.0 course work more than I thought I would! I was very nervous about the tech courses- especially after feeling like those offered thru my district were not very helpful or practical in the SPED classroom. I learned a lot of things I think I may actually try to use in my classroom. I did comment on 3 classmate's blogs: 1. Stephaine Garris, 2. Nancy Winship and 3. Lindsay Barber
WallWisher 2.0 Source
Well I tried to work with Animoto several times but was unable to figure out how to share my work. So then I tried WallWisher- it was described as a virtual sticky note bulletin board that could be used to post discussion points- and I LOVE my sticky notes!!! I found this site to be more user friendly and thought my kids would really enjoy responding to questions shared in this manner. I also thought it would be easy enough for my SPED kids to feel successful using it and sharing it. Yeah!!

Wikis and Collaboration
Wikispace will be a useful tool to help our department communicate more efficiently. Our district email mailboxes are pretty small for the amount of conversation and collaborative efforts we try to commuicate about in SPED. I am not sure how confident I feel about this application being used in the classroom.

I am currently a Resource ELAR teacher in the AISD district. I teach 7th grade reading and writing. The challenge in lesson planning for this class is reinforcing/reteaching prerequisite ELAR skills in a creative and memorable way that supports student progress. I have found picture books to be especially straight forward and useful for introducing many 7th grade concepts but in a simplified way resource students remember.
